Here is what I did to mine: The lens I sanded it completely smooth, then smoked it, almost looks black in the picture. The housing I sanded down, primed with gray acrylic primer, then painted gloss black and then cleared

is that a replacement hatch or what? that brake light is pretty much and 86 only bit. Unless the car has some very unique options and deletes.

Looks good regardless, i may do this to the light om my 86, clean the lens up a little.

 

the old hatch busted when I shut it and the only one I could get was off an 86, the original hatch had the 3rd brake light under the spoiler. Thanks tho! The best way to do it is take a da sander with some 80 grit, sand it almost smooth, then take 180/220 and smooth it completely, then wetsand with 600
