Can someone help me modify the stock upshift light to be controllable? I no longer have the computer in the car, so it doesn't work at all, but I would like to keep my interior clean of most aftermarket gauges. Any way I can get this upshift light to work?

Pretty simple. Take a look at the gauge cluster wiring/pin out diagram in the link below. All you will need to do is splice into the wire and voila!

Similar in that both will have a wire running from the shift icon to a pin on the connector. You can check this out too: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/mkport...uges_part3.gif
Looks like you would want the tan and black wire. :-)

Hmm. I wonder if someone could do a picture tutorial for me. It would be much appreciated.

Ok, remove your gauge cluster and take a look at the back of it and find the spot where the shift light is. Then follow that wire to the connector at the back of the gauge cluster. Then find the corresponding wire that plugs into on the car's connector. Then simply splice into the wire using any array of cheap splice connectors. You just need a controller to turn the light on now.

Summit, Jegs, eBay... Any of these sites would probably have one. You just have to look!

I bet I could find one within 5 minutes on google, but I'm gonna make you look for yourself, teach a man to fish kind of deal.
