UMI Adj Lower control Arm GP
After I have competed the UMI SFC GP I have organized I plan on emailing Ryan at UMI myself and asking if they could do a group purchase for adj lower control Arms. Would anyone other than me be interested. I am trying to see if there is enough demand for these before I take the time to try to organize it.
Thanks for your reply
The control arms from UMI that I am interested in are the double adjustable ones

Spohn does not do group purchases. Nor does he have sales. I think it's because he runs tight profit margins.

UMI makes nice LCA's, panhard bars, etc. too. Just do another group purchase with them. I'm sure Ryan would like all the business. Then in the future it will make group purchases with them easier - he'll have dealt with us many times over.
I'dd be interested in a group purchase for any of the following, LCA, panhard bar, or torque arm. (Ryan's supposed to have a version that bolts to the car, not the trans, available for 3rd gens anyday now. Would like an adjustable one with a driveshaft loop)
Anyway, sorry to go a little off topic, but just saying, why not stay with UMI???

They're nice, but are pricey. Is there a real need for those... or just the non-adjustable LCA. An adjustable panhard bar I understand, but for a street car, I don't know if there is a major benefit to those. I saw Ryan last summer (it was someone from UMI, thought it was him) and he told me the same thing, I could use the panhard, but to just get non-adjusting lca. He actually has a package deal on these 2 items (adjusting panhard & regular lca), maybe get a bit more of a deal on these???????????
Just thinking, I don't know.

from what i understand if your vehicle is lowered, as mine is, you need adjustable lcas/relo brackets, adjustable panhard rod/relo brackets and an adjustable torque arm. am i right? im not too sure of this myself. anyone got any ansewers?

from UMI's 2005 summer catalog,
the ones above, tubular double adjustable chrme moly lca - $249.99/set
for some of there other ones,
tubular single adjustable lca - $169.99/set
tubular non-adjustable lca - $99.99/set
lca relocation brackets - $59.95/set
Panhard Bars,
tubular non-adjustable - $69.95
tubular single adjustable - $99.95
tubular on-car adjustable - $129.95
tubular double adjustable chrome moly - $169.99
Subframe Connectors,
$199.99 - so the group purchase on these is a good deal, for anyone looking for a set, buy them now.
They are also designing a torque arm similar to Spohn's I guess, relocated off the transmission tailshaft. Should be available now.
I talked to Ryan a while back, said it would be soon then (it was before winter then) and priced similar to the 4th gen version,
$349.99
$379.99 with driveshaft safety loop

I would be interested in some type of GP on these items..
looking for tubular non-adjustable LCA's
not sure on bushing type, though..
also interested in the tubular double adjustable PHB...
and possibly brackets as well.
and kicking myself now for not paying attention to the GP board and missing the SFC GP....

I am interested in these. They are almost identical to the Spohn parts and are cheaper. You have to add an extra $30 for the 4130 Chrome Moly at Spohn. That makes them $275 rather than $250 for the same thing from UMI...

What he ment was...
Was that a typo or do they have double adjustable Torque Arms??(not LCA's)
I myself would prefer something along the lines of the 1998-02 GM F-Body Tunnel Brace Mounted Torque Arm - Long Tube Header Set-ups, only for a third gen car.

You DO NOT need adj. lca's. The lca relocation brackets are designed to be able to be used with stock lca's if you really wanted to, even on lowered thirdgens.

Nice edit, ABJ88. That was LCA's.
Since there's going to be an entire slew of things on this next GP, why shouldn't a mod just lock this thread instead of renaming it. I'm sure irocstang will start a new thread when he receives prices from UMI.

I still want to know what the "double adjustable torque arm" stuff is about myself. I am sure that was also just a typo.

Talked to Ryan, He was saying that anyone can call him. If you spend $ 150.00 or more he'll give you 15% discount, on a package deal such as lca, tq arm panard bar tell him your from the TGO . But if we get a group purchase going again on one item He might be able to do deal like on the sfc's.

Re: Next UMI GP
got this email from Ryan at UMI today. It reads:
"I can not do any better then a 20% discount, thats the most I can do. So here is what it will be below, and I will get your pricing sometime soon.
10-29 people would be 15% off the entire order excluding the shipping.
30+ People people would be 20% off the entire order excluding the shipping.
Let me know which one everyone wants to do and I will set up a coupon code for that amount of a discount.
Thanks
Ryan"
Once I get pricing and a little more info on products I will start a new Post called UMI Suspension Components GP.
Keep your eye on the GP area of TGO.
Any thoughts about this? Anyone interested?
Please post

So any part can be ordered?
If so can one person order 4 parts and count for 4 orders??? That would make it easier on us. Makes sense to me anyway.
Nevermind... I will post that answer as I just went ahead and asked Ryan a few things.
