How unusual is this GTA?

Ok my neighbor used to own a GTA til it decided to get to know a pole a bit better. Anyway I was just thinking about this car and was wondering if it was a wacky optioned car:

1987 GTA

-L98
-power seats
-3.27 BW 9-bolt

And that was it. No A/C, not even tilt/cruise. The car was bare bones except for the power seats. Is this wierd? Or did all GTA's come with power seats?

I thought all trans ams came with A/C (except those super rare 1le versions) and that GTA's at least came with power locks and power windows......

AC, power windows, locks... all optional equipment. Sounds like a strippy model. Dont know how unusual it is, except that most cars around then had AC.

No AC, no power locks, no power windows. Just those power seats. It is a Canadian Y84, does that make a difference?

Well being a first year GTA could have been part of it. I've never seen a "stripper" GTA before, but my friend has an 87 and he has rear drums So I'm sure he could have been a cheap-*** and got credit for not having all of those power options...

Theres the answer right there. The car was a base optioned GTA. What about the power seats though?

I'm pretty sure all GTAs came with the Ultima seats.

For what it's worth my GTA also has drums in the rear. I was surprised but what the hell, good enough for me.

me and a friend had bought a 87 Formula parts car (minus the engine and tranny) but it had come with the L98 3.27 9 bolt rear and a auto tranny,it had no power options whatsoever just a rear defroster.but it did have a/c.
