Check this thing out.

Its pretty much one of a kind. The only thing that sucks is the paintjob.

Nice car but damn, you'd think in a factory race car they'd at least get rid of the 85mph speedometer

That thing is a beauty, paint job isn't so bad, I'd buy it if I had an extra 10k laying around.

If I had the money, I'd bid on it too.

Looks like it was originaly a L69 car from the build sheet. I wonder what a ZZ4 + 5 speed would run.

Its obvious though that the car was meant to be a handler.

Man a Florida car that still has a Cat on it. That's rare in itself
The low miles are definently the selling point here. The whole carbed 350 with a T5 has been done in a lot of these cars and those at least have a radio. I didn't read the whole thing but the 85 probably has the non-world class T5. I wouldn't drag race it to hard.

shouldnt a race car like that have subframe connectors? or were those not widely used back then?? that car is sweet though. that engine has to be ready to let go though, after 6k + of racing. maybe not though, im no expert.

Most purpose-built race cars don't even HAVE speedometers. No point, you don't need to know how fast you're going.

Vinyl seats! I've never seen that before. Is that common?

As far as the SFC's go, they may not have been allowed in that particular class. I didn't think engine swaps were something that the SCCA liked either. For example, the American Sedan class, which is all 5.0Ls.

.

That's the third time I've seen that car on ebay.

I bet it runs good. They still have all the slips from when they ran it SCCA back in the 80's, pretty cool.
