Several RPO code questions

Hi, I just ran the RPO codes on my car and I came up with the codes 07A and 5A, which the decoder on the main page here says this:

07A : STRIPE COLOR, ACCENT, TWO TONE, WHITE/MED BEECHWOOD**
15A : STRIPE COLOR, ACCENT, MED GRAY MET, (91)

Where would these stripes go? Along the bottom on the outside? I don't have any gray, and certainly no white/medium beechwood on my car now

Also, I have code B84, and the decoder gives me this:

B84 : ORNAMENTATION, EXTR MLDG, B0DY SIDE

I'm guessing MLDG means molding, so what extra molding or ornamentation does this refer to?

And finally, I have codes E5Z and E9Z:

E5Z : SPEEDOMETER ADAPTER (DELETE)
E9Z : SPEEDOMETER KEY (DELETE)

I'm sorry to sound ignorant, but what is this talking about?

Thanks for all your help!

The decoder is wrong on the stripe colors. The stripes it is referring to are the ones at the bottom of the doors, above the ground effects. These codes listed are from 91 and are genereic to GM in 91. The codes are diferent colors for diferent years.

B84 is the exterior door moulding that runs the length of the doors and partially on the fender and rear 1/4. It was an option and is not on every car.

The speedo delete references the change to electronic speedo from mechanical. These codes were used to tell the assembly line not to install mechanical components in your car.

Ok thanks. So as far as the molding goes, this means that my car, although its a SC, it had ground fx? I thought the absence of gfx was one of the characteristics of a SC.

Also, is there any way of telling what color the striping was, then?

One last thing, I also have the RPO code P06 or PO6, but the decoder doesn't have either. Did I record the code wrong, or do they mean something?

Thanks for all your help!

nah. the exterior moulding that scott is referring to starts on the back edge of the fender, goes along the door, and ends on the rear 1/4 panel.

it is located about where the middle of the body would be on the car. the moulding itself is about 3/4" high.

you'd know them to see them.

The molding is in the middle of the door.

Unless your car was an 87 California issued RS it would not have GFX as an SC.

Sport Coupes did have stripes along the lower part of the fenders somewhat similar to Z28 striping, this is what your stripe rpo code is refering to.

Ok, I see it now, thanks! So is there any way I can figure out what stripes my car did come with from the factory?

What are your original interior and body colors?

The body stripes tend to match the interior color, in other words if you have gray interior you got silver stripes, however this is not always the case.

The original exterior is the bright red, and the interior is all black. I'm guessing that translates to black stripes (?)
