A QDM (Quad Driver Module) is a component inside the ECM (Electronic Control Module). The ECM is what controls the engine functions. I don't know how you came to the conclusion that you need a new QDM, but if one is bad, you have to replace the ECM. Also, if you really do have a bad QDM, then more than likely a component that the QDM controls, failed, killing the QDM. Could be a shorted TCC Solenoid, shorted EGR solenoid, etc...

the 54 code has been thrown by my computer several times. I have replaced the fuel pump relay and I am getting a fuel pressure test on monday. if my pressure is good, I will know the only other thing it can be is the qdm because of the 54 code.

thanks for any help.
