k heres the story, i was comin to an intersection and the light was turnin red but was on green, and the guy behind me saw a bike 4sale on the left and saw the green then looked at the bike, then looked back saw red and NAILED my car, blowing out the rear window, when i looked in my mirror i saw him and said sh*t, then slow motion, the glass flew forward around me, then i steered to the side and got pushed into the gard rail where the lake was. and it bent the back frame, the door frame, and stuff in the pics

 

did you get out and try to kill him? i would have. i am about sick of hearing of drivers that are not paying attention and rear end someone. sadly it has happened to my mom twice and my sister once in the last YEAR. first time...mother, brother, and his two friends in the car. read light. car hits them at 40+. everyone injured. 5 weeks later...mother, sister, and sisters friend. car hits at 35+. all injured. third time...sister and brother. car hits at 50+ and pushes my sisters car into the car in front of her. both injured. luckily i was not in any of them. all three times my mom or sister were sitting BEHIND traffic at a red light. my mom is still not working. luckily she dosnt really have to, just less money for extra stuff.

there should be more penalties for drivers not paying attention. i am sorry to see you car like that. on the bright side it still looks better than mine.

yeah i know what u mean this is the first accident ive been in and i told the cops the guys lucky i dont own a gun i woulda shot him, cause this car was my whole life, i had parts on back order and everything and thank *** i havent order my engine i was suppose to this weekend, 685+ horsepower 383, was goin in to that car, but not ne more, it fin sucks, my whole lifes ambition gone in less the 10 seconds

hey wait...just looked at you profile. you only like 2 years older than i am. that makes you like a freshman in college and a lot more life to live. trust me ive been through hard times...like my dad says "life happens." you still young. start another thirdgen. transfer the parts off the old one onto the new frame. makes for a good project.

That blows looks nice whats left of it atleast. I almost got hit like 3 days ago near my house, light changed i went for the gas and nada. It's not a stick so i didnt stall it just nothin so i'm liek cussing all to hell when i see this bastard in an escalade run right through the light. Right where i would have been and he was haulin. i put her into park, turn her over and she fires havent had one problem since then, nothing was wrong. I searched for an explaination but cant find one. Brad the kid on my team who was killed when a drunk ran the light 4/19/03 must've been up there watchin me. All I know is it scared the hell outta me just realizing i would have been eating a caddy grill had I got off right.

Do the right thing with it though: don't let the insurance company keep it if they total it, because it will just end up getting crushed; part it out, and help other people's cars stay alive. Kind of like donating organs ya know... if they still work, why bury them if they can save a life.

 

Same thing happened to my 92' RS last week. I was at a redlight, and the kid behind me (who I happened to know) looked in the local "hangout" parking lot to see who was "chillin". Looked back in front of him to see a Purple Camaro (me) stopped at a redlight and he slammed into me at roughly 12 mph. Man what a shudder. Threw my radar detector and rearview right off my windshield. Threw me into the guy in front of me (a police officer in an unmarked unit, thank *** because it wasnt my fault and he was on the scene). I looked at the damage of my car and saw that the bumper had a rip in it, the inner back bumper needs replacing, its bent right in half, the front needs a new nose due to hitting the car in front. THEN, I noticed that quarter panel deal that you have, only not as bad. It kinked the same exact way as yours, only not as bad. The other side of the car is fine, I think the gas filler hole ruins the integrity of the quarter panel and thats why it does that, but the frame machine will fix that. The car is still driveable, and works just like it did, and my car gets fixed 6/2/03, dont have to pay a dime for what he did. I get a rental, and I AM paying for parts that needed to be painted anyways, the car's gonna look good, sorry for you though. Hope you get another one.

It has turned into a non-tech conversation, which is not allowed on this (or any TGO) tech board. Although I have no choice but to close this thread, I will leave it intact for all to read.
