Are these common?
Hello all!
I have a dream to build a really bad assed 3rd gen one day, and was looking for one particular car..
A 91-92 White Formula 350 WS6 5 speed hard top.
First, did they make this combo, and second, is it an unusual combo?
thanks for your info...

The 350 (L98) was never available with a 5spd from the factory. It was only offered with an automatic.
The 305 was available with a 5spd.
I think you will be able to find the car you described, except for the transmission.
FYI all thirdgen Formulas had WS6.

Yes, the T5 from 82-87 handled 280lb/ft max and the World Class T5 (88-92) took 305lb/ft max.
The stock 305 TPI with the non-peanut cam puts out 220hp and 300lb/ft torque... that's just 5 less than the WC.
A 350 must make at least 5lb/ft more than the 305!
But... a T56 from a 4th gen can take 450lb/ft max! And that's just a great mod anyway!

There are many posts about it I believe, and I do think it's kinda involved.
I know the crossmember needs to be changed/modified, there isn't a speedo cable hookup... so unless you have an electric speedo already, you need a speed sending unit (about $100)
The driveshaft might be different... but I'd check on that one!

Okay, so the drivetrain is optional. I was planning on swapping in a MN6 anyway...
How hard is it to find the White Hardtop? any idea on how many hardtops were made in 91-92??

I have seen many Firebirds that are white... mostly GTAs. I have seen a few white Formulas around here, most always with gold trim/decals.
Check ebay and see how many are being sold... and how much they are going for. That's usually a little more than they are worth, but good for a ballpark figure.
