Car: 87 IROC-Z
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: automatic
Axle/Gears: 3.23
The manual would be less common than the auto.
It also has rear disc brakes, which means it has the G92 option package for 1987, even more desireable.

Car: 1987 Z28 Convertible
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 5-speed
The only two combos available on the 1987 Z28 Convertible:
1) 305 carb (LG4 / Base Engine / No cost) with Automatic Transmission (Mandatory Option)
2) 305 TPI (LB9 / Optional $745) with 5-speed Manual (Base Transmission / No cost)
#1 = Much more common.
#2 = Rarer and more desirable (duh!!).
And yes, G92 was an option on the 1987 IROC-Z convertible (not the Z28).
Also, the leather in red is very rare. No official figures but there just doesn't seem to be many made. My first '87 Z28 convertible was also a red IROC-Z with a red interior but it was cloth and with the more common drivetrain. It's now in New Zealand.

oh thats right i forrgot that 87 TPI verts came with only manuals
any way he listed the car as 190 bhp
I sent the guy a message and told him that his car has 215 bhp,
and i asked him to list all rpo codes
but if u read in the questions part, he said he is selling because
he found the exact twin of his car with 6600 miles,
now thats a car i'd like to have

Because it says borg warner 3.7 posi axle? I didnt run the codes.
I was just going by what it says. I took 3.7 borg warner as being a 3.70 ratio.
Without running the codes i would of seen the tpi and 5 speed combo and would guessed it had a 3.45 axle, but I seen that it said 3.7 posi borg warner. Thats where I got the 3.70 from.
Thanks Randy

Car: 1987 GTA
Engine: LT1
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt 3.70 posi
It's possible that if it is a 3.70 it's a dealer installed option. I picked up a 9 bolt with the tag still on it and was a 3.70 as stamped on the tag and the part number as well.

he didnt meet reserve. i think these guys are over assesing their cars. I know nada says that the anniversary cars are worth a bundle but thats not a real world price. i bought mine with almost the exact options as that car two years ago for much less than his auction ended at and i would sell my car for that much money in a heartbeat.
nice car though

NADA tends to over-rate things. My car is valued by NADA at 13k. The most I've ever been offered is 10k. I doubt I'd get 13k even if it was completely flawless.
