i believe that any Fbodies were exported.. then again, they are all right-hand drive so i can't be sure..
i looked at my RPO Codes section on my website and it doesn't state any export suffixes so it may have been made overseas..

Not a big deal, but that rearend it had was a 3.70, not a 3.73. The 9-bolt's can't be had with 3.73's. Just a trivial fact. I also don't think that any camaro's were built in australia, but some were exported out of the US or Canada to Australia and then converted.

All third gens were made in the US. All fourth gens are made in Canada.
The only thing Australian is the rear end referred to as the 9 bolt. GM also use the 10 bolt Saginaw too on various cars. Earlier years had 7 1/2" ring gear, later years had the 7 5/8" ring gear.
Australian rear end tended to be the strongest of the bunch but the most expensive to get parts for; and hard at that.

so he is full of crap! if its a 86 ho its a little better i guess, it sounds like i "could" rebuild the 9 bolt for about $400 but the 4:10 auburn in it is there so i think i'll blow it up first! thanks for all the help!
im from OZ and trust me no f-bodies were prodused here, your friend full of $..T here, though the rear end could be australian, company is called Bogner-wagner something or rather (sorry cannot remember) but ive rven seen an article somewhere on the web, US article, on how to swap to that rear end

The 9 bolt rear ends were made here. No other parts that I know of were made in Australia.
