Interesting link. I ran my car through the used car value calculator and it came back at $5650.00.
Interesting. I had a recent appraisel done and it valued my car at just over $21,000.00! Of coarse you hardly ever get apprasied value when selling it, but even half the appraised (which is around what I paid) is $10,500.00.
That's still double what the site came up with.
I sometimes wonder if people really just don't know what the 3rd gen market is truly worth. Especially in excellent condition. I think this market is definitly untapped. What do you guys think?

Eh.... if I want to know what a car is worth I see what they sold for on ebay. Many people ask 2 or 3x the amount the car is worth on autotrader... not like they'll ever get it!

Sell it.
Whatever somebody agrees to pay, and you agree to accept, that's what it's worth.
Alternatively, buy it.

The rest of that is all just PURE SPANK-OFF. It is meaningless, useless, drivel.

Johnblaze, you dad owns a gs vert??? I sold my 71 GS not too long ago. Got any pix of it? As for car worth, sofakingdom ur absolutely right. The cars you see on e-bay or auto-trader are the ones that DIDNT sell, if you go to sites that leave their SOLD cars on, thats a bit more realistic, but still not accurate, cuz everything can be bartered.

cars-on-line.com is a site that leaves the sold sign up. Not sure what the car really sold for, but just saving this info will work when someone asks why you want so much for your car. You could say that's what they are selling for elsewhere!

Not sure if you guys bothered to try that original link. But it doesnt give you an option for an 8cyl camaro anywhere for third gen, it only goes back so far for model year, and it priced a berlinetta and an iroc-z for the same year at the same price...... Very useless site indeed.

Do you know if its a real GS?? cuz you wanna make sure it is, a skylark isnt really worth putting any money into, u'll never get out of it what you put in. But the GS's keep climbing.

Fix the URL change. I typed the URL purposely 3 times and it still appended a name. Some of the new changes here suck!

Thanks for the link to nadaguides. I'd been wondering if I paid a sane price for my 84... and the site validated roughly what I paid this year for the car, as well as the numbers I saw floating in autotrader.com units as well as ebay 'completed auction' prices. Seems pretty accurate to me.
Someone was commenting above about not having an option to choose 'V8' on an IROC... I think the system 'knows' all IROC's had a V8 (just my theory).

Red90, yea i thought maybe it assumed if it wasnt those options it was just a v8, but then why does it give you 4cyl, and V6 option for an iroc??? Anywyas, doesnt make sense, and it gave me the same value for my 1985 berlinetta as it did for the 1985 fully optioned iroc.... ????

worth to whom? People would probably only give me 2-3k for mine. But I wouldn't give it up for 20k.
