It's a cloth interior car too.

I thought the same thing about it being cloth, it looks like leather in some pix... Too much shine to be Cloth AFAICT.

It looked like cloth in some pix, and other it does not. Too much shine in some pix... The listing states Cloth, but it also says 5.0... So who knows. Someone call...
Cloth TTA's are more rare... and therefore more desirable... as odd as it sounds. Personally I would prefer the more common Leather.

It looks like cloth on my monitor.
The TTA is the one Thirdgen that is actually very easy to find with extremely low miles. Just do a search on eBay or Autotrader and you will be tripping over them. There are two on eBay right now, one with only 727 miles. Both cars have leather interior.
The cloth interior on this example definitely would make it more unusual and thus probably more valuable to many collectors; a hardtop with cloth, even more so.

A lot of people think that but I never have. Only time will tell but I think the T-top cars will be worth more than the hardtops will. Of course, the hardtops are more rare but I think the T-top cars are more desireable.

Re: 3000 mile never registered 89 TTA!
I tend to agree, with Lfn at U. On the one hand we have the "Rare" item coming up with so few Hard tops, and so few cloth cars. BUt on the other hand most people opted for the T-tops and the Leather.
In the end I do not know what will pull more money. Whether it will be the desire to have somehting more rare, or something that is a better option.
I now see the door panels and they clearly have Cloth on them. Was the Cloth included in the door panels, or were they leather like the seats?

Re: 3000 mile never registered 89 TTA!
Seats look like cloth to me, too. And the ad says cloth. I can see where someone might not know one engine from another by looking at it, therefore posting the wrong engine in an ad, but cloth should be pretty easy to differentiate from leather, so I'd like to think they got that right. And those door panels all had cloth inserts, regardless of seat material.
New fabric, like carpeting, cloth upholstery, etc., does have a sheen. I only see one pic where they appear to shine. And that's the correct angle that would make the sheen on fabric apparent.
Also, the seat color matches the color of the fabric in the door panel inserts. If the seats were leather, they'd be darker, more closely matching the color of the vinyl on the door panels.
But look at all the other like-new classics and soon-to-be classics in that showroom, probably all for sale: a 1st gen 'vert, an '84 15th TA, a late Fiero GT, this '89 TTA, a '94 25th TA 'Vert... Times are getting tough(er)?

Re: 3000 mile never registered 89 TTA!
two 1,600 mile TTA's sold on eBay a few weeks ago.
one had never been registered but was left outside for 18 months and sold for $23,801.
the other one was a Buy It Now which sold at the asking price of $29,995.
so don't store your low mile, never registered TTA outside!!!!!!
