it looks like you dumped a bit of money into it already. i say slowly work on it as the money comes through, eventually when its done, you will have a sweet ride.

I think it's a nice looking ride and you already have a daily driver so it's ok if it sits for a while. I think you should stick with it. It sounds like you are a little frustrated with the project which happens but if I were you I would just take a little break

It took me two years to get a decent running car. Mine looked close to yours. I had a couple of squirrels living in my, I had to send them on there way. The Camaros are just going over 25 years old so I think they are the perfect car to hotrod now. There are lots of parts still out there.
Lots of pics at jfhms.homeip.net.
I think looking at the cars on this site really gave me alot of drive to get my own car together.

Re: 85 camaro worth continuing resto?

How is it for rust? It looks like a solid foundation for a build. As has already been said, in this economy an old car is a hard sell. Im currently working on a restoration project (non-thirdgen) and i think i might have a very hard time selling it once its done. I would hold onto it considering the money you already have in it. When its done it will be a cool ride that you can be proud of and until then it can be the money pit lol.

Re: 85 camaro worth continuing resto?

yeah lmfao someone before i bought it put that steering wheel in and id say it is 99.9% rust free have not found any holes or waves that would indicate rust and a magnet sticks to everything except the bumpers haha and all the suspension and bushings and the differencal and a arms are all still black from what i heard from the person i bought it off of it was garage kept in philadelphia and some girl owned it thats why the bumpers were hit and the paint chiped and the pink seat covers. i guess her dad fixed it up for her to drive and it just always set in the garage. 300 bucks baby whoooo!!!
