European mirrors.

It must be fairly incommon to find a set in the United States. I've seen pictures of them on here before and I'm fairly certain they were always black originally. It looks like they repainted everything in sight white on that particular car!

Re: Anyone seen these mirrors before?

The Firebird export "paddle" mirrors that I've seen (especially on the GTA) look fairly square. The picture in the following GM European brochure also look more square:

Not saying they're not factory export mirrors but they just don't look like the ones seen on other ThirdGen exports.

I'll agree. The paddle mirrors are more squared off then what's on the OP poster. So the OP might just have aftermarket mirrors.

Re: Anyone seen these mirrors before?

Hard to believe but, it really changes the overall appearance of the car with them. I wonder how solid they are at higher speeds?

Re: Anyone seen these mirrors before?

I bought a brand new 1984 Z28 5.0 HO in 1984 and have never seen mirrors like that before either. My buddies berlinetta never had those either. What do you mean base model? Maybe I am confused..

The sport mirrors were an option on the base models.

Camaro - Firebird = Base Models
Berlinetta - S/E = Middle End Models
Z-28 - Trans Am = High End Models
