Nice Original 1987 Yellow IROC-Z On Ebay, Lot Of Photoshots

This is a 1 owner 1987 IROC with 47,XXXmi, looks to be in pretty good shape.
I love yellow IROCs, the only thing that would make it better for me would be a tan leather interior and a 5.7L TPI.

That's a nice looking ride. I like the yellow too! I looked at a yellow 'vert before I bought mine but it was just too cobbled up. Pretty car though.

It's kind of nice to see the AR9 Custom cloth seats for $277.00 on his window sticker. Those seats came at no charge on the LT model that year. It's the first one I have seen on an IROC with the 1SC #3 option package. This seemed to change his door panels to vinyl instead of cloth along with the different seats.

OK, I gotta call foul on that car having a custom cloth interior for '87...

1) It does not have the cloth door panels...those are base door panels
2) Those are base seats with no adjustable head rests.

Nice car, but that interior is NOT the optional interior for 87. First time I've ever seen a base drivers seat with power.

I am not a yellow fan, but that color on the IROC's is just killer and that is one nice car.

Speaking of yellow, I found for $8,500 a beautiful yellow 88 Formula with 45k. But its a damn LO3/A4

I would love it if my next third gen could be in orange or yellow, to offset my mellow grey

Jason, I'm sure that you probably know, but I'm not sure I totally understand. The window sticker calls out for the custom cloth seats and a 6 way power seat. So what do you think is changed?
That car is immaculate, and as its a one owner car, I guess I don't know why something would have been changed out.

The custom cloth interior included seats with a headrest, fabric door panels and I believe carpeted console panels. The listed seats are an upgrade, but they are not custom cloth.

Nice job by the seller to post that many pictures. It's not that hard to snap pictures and feed them into the computer, not sure why most sellers are so lazy. The little extra work will net this guy a better price.

So either those seats were not original to the car, or someone messed up when assembling the car.

These are not AR9 seats

Welcome to TGO. Based on the door panel layout and the hard sides of the console, I believe that these are the original seats for this car. The problem is on the window sticker where it states the seats are AR9 Custom Cloth. The window sticker is incorrect. I wonder if that's another one of the window-sticker.com duplicates.

I see this morning with about 9hrs. left on the auction the bid is up to $12,000. Pretty strong money for a 1987 with 47,XXX miles on it.

I believe those numbers are low which is a reflection of eBay itself. People trying to sell parts on eBay usually ask ridiculous prices in the hopes they find a sucker, but the cars don't get their true value. I've seen highly desirable muscle car era vehicles bid up tens of thousands less than they are worth. You can't use eBay as a guide to current value.

Sold, $12,601. I still say that's strong money for the car based on the market over the past year or so which I've been watching closely. Maybe the prices are starting to trend up a bit.

The muscle car market to a huge hit with the economy. It's a goot time to buy an old muscle car, that's for sure.

That yellow Camaro is wicked nice.

Re: Nice Original 1987 Yellow IROC-Z On Ebay, Lot Of Photoshots

I think $12,600 is fair money for that car. Its a 305. Yes, its yellow...has t-tops...its an IROC...

Its also 45 cubic inches, or one clutch pedal, short of the ideal combo. I don't see this car being worth much more than that, given the powertrain is not ideal.

If it was the ideal? I would say its probably worth $2,500 more.

You mean "took" and "good" right?
I am not a grammar **** but two simple errors in one simple post...
I think that's a record.

That's what I'm thinking too Scott. I had a window sticker made for my '86 Z28 and they goofed on my seat option... except the other way around. My car had custom cloth seats and the window sticker had the base cloth seats listed on it. Hey, it does happen!!
