Stunning example of an original 82 T/A with original window sticker.

Get a good look boys. Soak it all in and commit it to memory... Before one of those mentally deficient Knight Rider fans snatches it up and destroys it.

My 82 Z28 had that cool exhaust setup under it. I love this car but..id have to shelf those rims, but definitely keep them, and put something else on it probably. Love those seats also.

I think the rear axle was painted... I think they were bare metal from the factory... sorry to knock it off the pedestal... still a nice car.

Does anyone have any info on that weird exhaust? I've never understood why GM did that. It looks like a lot of extra expense and development for seemingly no reason. It makes me wonder if there was a more elegant dual setup that got shelved or compromised late in the development cycle.

I'm ok with it... looks like it was done in a way so as to maintain parts originality. It just resembles one of those "over-restored" cars that are all original but in better condition than when they rolled off the line.
Car is awesome.

One of the GM 'Imagineers' quoted in Camaro: The Third Generation says they wanted the best performance and sound, while still being under the Federal noise guidelines.
But really, I'd imagine is has as much to do with that as it does with the gimmicky crossfire intake, or that "Free-flow exhaust system with dual resonators AND a cross-over pipe." makes for good advertising.

My 83 has that exhaust... always looked restrictive to me to have a 90° Bend I think it would have been better to have 1 pipe split into 2 unequal length pipes with their own muffler and crossover pipe somewhere.

Honestly, I don't even care that it's an LG4/TH200.

WOW !! Pretty clean car. But I think that color scheme and the N21 wheels hurt it.
IMO, Red/Black or Black/Gold, T-tops with the N89 turbo cast with black caps would fetch $$$ and have more collector appeal. But who knows ???
Still it's a VERY VERY nice low mile survivor car

I almost want to buy it just so I can put these BMW M1 tribute wheels on it... because I think they'd fit the look:

I'm more of a Camaro guy than the firebird, but that would be a nice addition to any collection. Funny thing about that exhaust, somewhere in a closet or maybe my dad's attic, I have a model of an early third gen car and that's the exhaust system on it, lol!

Too bad it does not have the Aluminum Hood option.

Re: Super Clean 1982 Trans Am on ebay 24k miles
I have only seen one car with the Aluminum hood... I have only seen a few Aluminum hoods in person... Had no idea it was a Norwood thing... Interesting to know.
I won't spill the beans, but I know someone just picked up a car with the Aluminum hood... Bought it for a good price too... I told him he could probably sell the hood for $2000
