My new 92 Z28. Teal 1LE/MK6 8k miles
Hey Everyone,
Hope everyone is well! Here are a few pics of my new toy. I bought it from the original female owner and just took delivery of it. Had it shipped from CA to MA. Teal on black custom cloth, LB9 stick, 1LE/N10/G92, special ordered with a CD player. Original gatorbacks, paint, all documents back to day 1 including the ordering information. I'll take more pics once the arctic chill is gone. It was +1 degree F when it arrived, just two days after we had a blizzard that dumped 17" here in central MA.

Very nice. Saw the post on FB. I recall one just like this around 2015 that was for sale. Had under 2,000 miles on it.

Now that's impressive. I don't care what you paid for it, it was worth it. And probably cost a bundle to ship that distance. Hope you can keep it like it is.

Exactly right! When you find a car like that, it's worth whatever you have to pay for it. Because.....see if you can find another one.

Beautiful. Just add foglights, a/c, and door moldings, it'd be perfect!
Gotta love the clarity of the glass, the depth of the paint... The intangibles that separate "all-original mint condition" from patina and restorations. It's impossible to restore a junker to the same standard. Wish it weren't so, but they're only ever original once.
Beats the pants off yet another TTA.

Re: My new 92 Z28. Teal 1LE/MK6 8k miles
Thanks so much for the kind words everyone!! I really appreciate all of the nice comments and I'm really excited to own it!!
@Drew LOL this one did get power door locks too, that has to count for something, right! ha! Thanks very much for the kind words! I completely agree, they just don't look the same when restored and they are only original one time. There is a freshness that cannot be duplicated. The paint on this one and my other two Van Nuys cars has some notable flaws, but they are all the way they came from the factory and I love they way they look untouched. The reason I like these cars optioned like this one is because it's just different... Completely agree, 1300+ of the 1555 TTAs are exactly the same. With this car, has no air yet it has a CD player which to me is just so darn cool because its unusual.
@gt4373, the son of the owner kind of tricked his Mom... He ordered it for her which was intended to be her daily driver. Shortly after delivery, she drove it for a few months and the son convinced her that it was too unusual to use and that she should store it. She did and got a Taurus instead. True story!
@tom3, I certainly paid more than I wanted to for it but I think it's worth it. shipping cost more than most of the daily drivers I commuted with over the last 15 years haha... I search for low mile performance drivetrain thirdgens literally every day and all over the country. I have realized that not all low mile cars are the same.... so many have been partially or fully repainted, have aftermarket parts installed, have negative carfax history, dealer undercoating all over everything underneath, missing paperwork like window sticker, rust all over the exposed parts underneath or under the hood, etc... When everything checked out with this one, I had to jump on it

Another thing that is kind of neat, to me at least. The vanity plate on this car since new was 92 1LE. The vanity plate on my other '92 was 1992 1LE. Both California plates, but different owners about 4 hours from each other. Separated at birth lol. When the weather gets better, i'm going to take pics of both together with their original plates on them.

Re: My new 92 Z28. Teal 1LE/MK6 8k miles
@polo Z03, I know that car, very similar to mine and one of the reasons I wanted this car so badly. I fell in love with it in the pics but it got out of my price range. Last I knew, it had 1200 miles on it. Both his car and mine are early 92s with silver valve covers, 90-91 style font odometers, and smooth non-textured runners.
@zya5point0, I certainly did give him a tip! It was brutally cold but the driver and his wife could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. They did a fantastic job! I have a narrow street which had tons of salt and wind drifted snow. Of course, the first vehicle that had to drive by was a huge oil delivery truck. It's never easy lol...

Beautiful car. That might be one of the coolest (and cleanest) third gens I've ever seen. Congrats on the purchase!
