Value Question
Ok, I have been looking for a 91 or 92 GTA. I owned one in 92-95 and sold it and just looking for one to turn a wrench on with my kid and drive on the weekends. I did run across one this weekend and it seems pretty solid, no rust drives good, runs straight, strong engine. Some of the issues I noted where the A/C does not work the blower kicks in and you get zero air movement(I would geusstimate and 1200-1500 repair it was converted). I am assuming its the compressor siezed up. They have not drove it much in 5 years, also the torsion bars and sway bars have rubber dry rotting (would probably just replace the torsion and sway bars. Body is straight just what you would expect to see rock chips, nicks, but no major dents. The trim peices do need reset and paint. The T/A has 93000 miles and they are asking 6500.00 and would go 6000.00. I offered 4,200.00 but would come up just dont want to over pay. Pics posted.

Re: Value Question
Looks like a pretty nice car for the money. Not sure what state you're in, but I would definitely get it up in the air and do a thorough rust check, looks like it has quite a bit of rust on the suspension components, so I'd check the floorboards and underhood cowl/firewall area for sure.
If the blower motor is on and blowing air but no air is coming from the vents (or only from the defrost vent), it probably just needs an a/c vacuum switch, which you can get from Top Down Solutions for about $35. $1200-1500 sounds high to get the a/c working, unless you end up replacing literally the entire a/c system. I only spent about $150 to get mine working on the Camaro, just needed a retrofit kit, seals, oil, refrigerant, new dryer, orifice tube, and the aforementioned a/c vacuum switch. Did all the work myself, but it wasn't difficult, and it's been blowing ice cold for over a year now.
As far as the cracked fog lamp, I'm seeing decent used ones on eBay from $40/shipped.

Re: Value Question
If it's what you want, and you can afford the asking price, you should probably jump on it. If that car were cleaned and detailed it could fit right in on Ebay with a price twice what they're asking.
Paint looks decent, leather interior isn't shredded, front fender gfx pieces are intact, no obvious rust issues... $6000 is already a bargain, it was a bargain 15 years ago. The price will only go up.

I think it looks pretty good, too. I see the sail panel birds are not in the right spot....any evidence of paint work or accident repair?

Re: Value Question
I saw this a couple of days ago while searching online. Thought the price was really good looking at the pictures. As was pointed out, the sail panel emblems are in the wrong place which means either the entire car has been repainted or the emblems fell off and were replaced at the very least. I'm not completely convinced that the seats have not been recovered. Did you get a look at the SPID sticker under the console? Seller states it's 1 of 33 white produced that year out of 228 GTAs for 92. Looks like a good buy at that price really. Most GTAs in my area are at the 8-10,000 range depending on condition!

Not yet, I came up to his price now he wants more. Not into games. So, I told him if he wants to sell he knows my price and can call me. FYI, this guy owns his very first car I think he likes to keep more than sell. I will check in with him later if I have not found another.

Yes, sir. I seen that. I have called, emailed and texted that seller and have gotten no response. I am not a fan of green but with 41,000 and at 7800 that car is a no brainer.

Re: Value Question
Thanks! The paint in photo looks better in the photo than in person up close. It is wearing thin but no rust dents or dings. The plan is to get the Hawks 17” replica wheels and new tires on it, will probably go 275 all the way around, then a suspension upgrade. The current suspension is wore out! Rebuild the steering components and this winter have some body work done. From what I can tell on the body the trim just needs reset, strip, fill, prime and paint. Engine and transmission seem to be fine but will probably take it over to one of the shops and have it inspected and tuned up if needed. The garage had pretty much been garaged since 2012. Anyway that is the current plan.

Re: Value Question
That is my plan. I took it to my body guy yesterday. First thing he said was that the sails where in the incorrect location. Looked it over and agreed the paint is shot but body is good and no rust. It will be going to him at the end of October and spend the winter getting tore down, stripped and painted. In the short term, I will be servicing the car this weekend hoping to get new tires and 17” Hawk Replica rims on it. The current tires are dry rotted. Then will do a suspension upgrade. The suspension is wore out. I am considering doing the QA1 coil over conversion. Has anyone got any experience with that suspension kit? https://www.jegs.com/i/QA1/122/HK02-GMF3/10002/-1?CAWELAID=230006180037965700&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=15769068431&CATCI=aud-194567928791la-176564695511&CATARGETID=230006180003464257&cadevice=t&jegspromo=thirdparty&gclid=CjwKCAjw68zZBRAnEiwACw0eYSxJzfpuhExd6K9B0KHkMrYjUHgmIyT95YpkBumWcf0fba7TIP2cURoCs-wQAvD_BwE
