Don't Know Why The Need To Replace The Radio's In These Cars The After Markets Just Don't Look Right.

Car seems to have some wear you wouldn't expect to see on a low mile car.

Id say this car has had a re-paint but that wouldn't bother me either. Only thing I don't like is the interior but still a great buy in my opinion.

I have a GTA and I haven't payed too much attention to details in Camaros, but does the "Camaro" in the front grill not look hand painted? Also does the TPI badge on the rear bumper always match the colour of the car? I always thought they were all just silver

^^^ It does look like it was hand painted or touched up. The TPI badge is not always silver. I think its the same basic color as the IROC badges on the side ground effects, rear fascia and dash board. ^^^
Pretty nice car, all in all.

I hope the trunk was popped in the pics..
a lot of us us back in the day would get a silver paint pen and touch up the TPI emblem and the CAMARO in the front.. even my 87 needed touching up when it had probably 40k on it..

You can see the red paint overspray on the plastic panel between the lower radiator support and air dam in the shot of the nose when the car is on the lift. I also noticed Delco-Bose speakers in the cargo cover---haven't seen very many of those.

That was the first thing I did with my RS c1991. Out with ALL of the factory audio equipment, and in with new, superior quality aftermarket components.

Same here with my'88. I installed an Alpine unit with Bluetooth, and hands-free calling. I hid the microphone for the phone in the overhead console. Manual transmissions and cellphones simply don't mix, and it's nice to wirelessly stream music and navigation through the car's speakers.
Went even further in my '93 Corvette. I recently installed a double-din Pioneer stereo with wireless Apple CarPlay. I'd never consider going back.

Yep. I enjoy listening to music and listening to it loud. I was blasting "Waylon Jennings-Rainy day woman" on my way to work this morning. I always do like DynoDave43 said and get my audio where I can enjoy it first thing first. Second usually comes exhaust.

Re: This '89, 5.7 IROC should go fast....
I want the car to look all factory stock, but I’m having a hard time wanting to put the tape deck back in. The previous owner installed an Alpine unit and swapped the speakers to Alpine. I have the original radio and speakers in boxes too.
The Alpine has the old style iPod connector which comes through/ is stored in the ash tray. I have an older 128GB iPod Classic that does the trick.. It’s nice to have my entire music library and playlists (maybe 50,000 songs) on tap..
Until I can get an Aux cable installed in my radio, the Alpine stays..

Definitely a repaint. The headlight pockets are too glossy and the stripes don't look right to me, and the paint is glossier than the plastic turn signals/tail lights. The rear TPI emblem is in the wrong place, the carpet is missing on the driver's side rear panels, the distributor cover is missing, the front seats are dirty/torn, the letters are worn off the instrument cluster switches, The driver side seat belt receiver is grey and not red, the under side of the hood is filthy, the undercarriage is filthy, and who knows what else I missed.
Notice to anyone interested in this car, it's a 125k miles, not 25k.
