G92 in 1988
Re: G92 in 1988
Disregard my previous numbers. I read your post as Trans Am. So my figure is not correct for this application.
On the Camaro side, I believe the only known figure is from the Camaro whitebook that states 5,252 G92s in 1988.
If it's anything like the Pontiac production reports that we have, they do not combine options on top of options. So if option X could have option Y or Z, there is no public records to fine tune the numbers. The exception is 1990 and newer, or export, ThirdGens.

Awesome, thanks man! I figured the G92 was more common on the 88-92 cars but I wasn't sure. If I read all of those RPO correctly, this car seems to be pretty well optioned.

One thing I found surprising is that in 1988 the G92 option seemed to be available in hardtops and convertibles, but not in T-top cars. That wasn't clear from the dealer order forms (available at the GM Heritage archive website), but there was a discussion here a few years ago, and no one reported seeing a 1988 G92 T-top car. In my own experience, I have seen ads for 1988 G92 convertibles, but never for 1988 G92 T-top cars. I don't know why GM would have allowed G92 convertibles and not T-tops in 1988. (Starting in 1989, only G92 hardtops were allowed, and that is clear from the dealer order forms).
