82 83 84 bird pad vs 85-up ones

really whats the differences between 82 83 84 bird dash pads and the 85 up ones

is there any way to get an 85-up one to work on an 82 83 84 without major parts swapping

got pics?

thanks

The difference is cosmetic, they will bolt right in, I had an 87 dash pad in my 83 for a while.

The 82-84 have two lines molded into the front for looks, the later ones are smooth.

I should also point out that the earlier of the two with the lines molded in are much harder to find in good condition.

as far as fitting the dash pads are the same, i put an 88 dash pad in an 82, then an 85, without any problems

that is why I am hanging onto one I have that is P E R F E C T, In case I need to replace the one on the Formula at a later date.

And like has already been stated, they will all interchange perfectly, 82-84 Just had the cosmetic lines, that's it.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear, I tend to ramble or leave out pertinent information.
Yes, it will bolt right in, I’ve done it.
