non stock seats.

I'd like to see some pics of cars with non stock seats, aftermarket or out of other cars and how hard it was to get them in.

if you want some nice seats that are simple to install buy some seats out of a 4th gen fbody. they bolt right in same as your stock seats and are much nicer too!

I just installed a full set from a '98 Camaro in my '85 Trans Am. They did just bolt right in, but the back seat upper has latches on both sides, where my '85 only had a latch on the passenger side, working now on locating and installing an additional latch stud for the driver side. There are also holes in the outboard sides of the seat back for shoulder belts, another item for the "hunt list".

Here are the Fiero seats installed in my IROC. I installed them because I am 6'4" and I did not fit in the car with a helmet on. I bought them out of the junkyard for 20$ and had them recovered in NOS material. I also had some of the foam removed from the cushions to lower the seats more. The drivers seat is on the stock Fiero track while the passenger seat is on the stock Camaro track. I now fit in the car with a helmet and t-tops in, but I can barely get my fingers between the helmet and the glass. I wanted a different seat but I wanted to keep the factor look. The NOS material was big bucks, but I think it was worth it, what do you guys think?

Yes actually I wear a helmet all the time when I am in the car. Makes things tough at the McDonald's drive through sometimes but hey safety first.

its called Drag Racing and Autocross. A helmet is mandatory in Autocross and once you go in the 13s at the strip you gotta have a helmet as well.

where'd you get the recaro's , and how much?

For those of you guys putting in seats from other cars (the Z-24 seats particularly interested me), what about the rear seats? Other cars don't have rear seats that'll bolt in do they? So do you guys just put in a set of front seats and forget about the rears?

Hi all. I've just fitted some half leather MG ZR turbo seats in my 87 Camaro, took a lot of cutting and welding to get them in but Chevy seats are hard to find in the UK. I would post some photo's but i dont know how:-)
