Shift knop question

Shift knop question

I don't really like the black ball shift **** and was thinking of getting the hurst T-handle. But how do i take of the black ball?

Standard ***** unscrew, auto ***** have a little clip on the front og the ****. Use a knife or something and pry the clip out, the **** will come out.

If you have the black Camaro "8 ball" looking Automatic ****, You'll need to pull the pushbutton straight out of the shaft, and then you'll need to remove the C ring clip to get the **** itself off.

I have a manual transmission and i tried all day but i couldn't get it to unscrew. could it be stuck?

The manual **** just unscrews, nothing else to it. But it's 'loctited' on from the factory, so yes, it prolly feels like it's stuck. Get a good, strong, firm grip, maybe even using something to wrap around it(like part of a non-skid carpet pad) and twist! It should break loose just before you passout, lol!

You might also consider B&M's Hammer shifter (I've tried several different products and this is my personal favorite). It's a direct fit (i.e. it uses no inserts).
