Heh, jk. Anyways I was looking for one of these also, I found a few used ones somewhere, I think on ebay. Im looking for one for a 90 camaro, but the size should be similar.

I just bought one off Ebay for 15 bucks and 10 shipping. good condition, but its kinda the wrong color. seller showed a pic of a tan one, which I needed, but in the auction I diddnt catch that he states he is selling a BLUE one. So now I have a black car with a tan interior and a dark blue privacy shade.... Oh well. I'm still looking for a tan one and then Ill get rid of this blue one. so if anyone has a tan that they wanna trade.....

 

Why not just limo the back window?

 

I do a lot of driving at night so heaavy tint isnt an option for me.

 

Are you guys talking about the roller shade? They were only made in black, one was canvas and the other was cloth, it would be very interesting to see the blue one (probably a faded black one) can you post a pic?

 

I have a blue one, its made out of vinyl. It has hooks on the sides, not quite sure how it even goes on. Pulled it from a 88-90 formula. I posted about it a while back and nobody knew anything about it.

 

wow, I can't say I have ever seen one of those. Could it have possibly been removed from a different car and used? Do you have a parts # on it?

 

no part numbers, but a patent no. 4222601 then these numbers below that I-278723. Its possible its from another car, plus its 4 inches shorter in width, but its also broken so I dont know.

 

Mine is a blue canvas type one. not faded black. I have also seen tan ones. as far as I know it is from a F-body. Ill post a pic tomorrow.

 

It's from an f-body. when I bought my Berlinetta mine had it. I took it out one day and haven't put it back in since. If I remember right it's spring loaded on the sides and then you unroll it and clip it on the rear plastic just below the hatch.

 

-N- and 89 Iron Duke - you guys are tlaking bout the screen im looking for my windows are tinted but need to be re-tinted limo black and i jus want the screen for extra privacy after i intall my AMP and Box/subs so u cnat use a flashlight or look threw the driver/pass. windo to see what "goodies my car possess"

 

Blue. even the NON-faded part at the top is blue. Just a dark navy.

i have two material types. a heavy softer leather style and then the lightweight hard vinyl type.

 

If i can find it i have a tan one that came with my car. It was in great shape last time i saw it.

 

I actually picked one up from a dealership. Parts guy at my local dealer did a search and found a couple of dealers (out of state) who had some in inventory. He gave me the part number and their phone numbers, I called one of them up and ordered it over the phone. The one I got only cost me $25 plus shipping, including all the hardware!!! He either wanted to be rid of it or didn't know what he had.

Be careful, the price I got was a mistake. One of the other dealers I called wanted more than $100 plus sipping. It's an expensive piece.
