Need help with the carpet seems like it is to big for my car!

I recently installed some new carbet in my vert and it seems like the carpet was made for a different car but the guy told me it was for a convertible. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a manufacturer of aftermarket carpet that makes carpet that fits perfectly?

It's normal to have to trim the edges and cut new holes. Does it fit the contours of the floor?

Not really. Mainly the problem areas are around the hump in the middle and the back seat area.

You may check back with the place you got it. I know sometimes the mfg may have put the wrong sticker on the box. So it may be the wrong one. Also there are different types of carpet. Some are more generic, and some are very specific. you will probably have to do some trimming, but if you are having to do a lot of it, then you may have the wrong one.

Do you know of a manufaturer who's carpet will fit really really good?

I really don't know of any mfg's names. You may look at Classic Industries or Year One for some names. You may also go to a shop that does upholstery jobs. Maybe they can give you some names of ones they use and and can also maybe give you some suggestions on which ones are best.

I've replaced the carpet in both the 3gens I have owned. Aftermarket carpet seldom fits perfectly - I usually use some soft foam to fill in low spots and eliminate wrinkles.

factory modled carpet designed for any car will fit exactly like the one in it from the factory.
any trimming or adding cushioning under it indicates an inferior brand or the wrong carpet for the application.
I have installed many factory molded carpets over the years.
one big thing to do before installing carpet,if it comes rolled up,lay it out under the sun so it will unroll itself before installing.
If it is to cold to let it heat up,take it inside for a few days under wamer conditions.

I don't know where LoganTA gets his carpet from, but I bought ACC carpet and it was not "exactly like the one in it from the factory." It took me two days to get it to fit where I could accept it, but it does not fit like factory.

since I do upholstery work,we have several sources to get our carpet.
if it didn't fit nice after 2 days, either you received the wrong one for your car or it was molded incorrectly and you should have notified the vendor.

Name atleast one good place out of the several you know, I'm looking to get a new carpet too, and want quality. I'm no upholsterer, so if it dont fit good to begin with, it will surely come out looking like crap.
