I was reading some of the threads that some of you were posting and noticed that some of you would like to get a new dash pad for you 3rd gen camaros. Instead of having to settle for a junkyard pad or having to fix the cracked one that you have. This may be common knowledge but I thought i would just throw it out there. Classic Industries now make a replacement dash pad for us. Here is the link if you want to watch the video.

Very cool. I agree, steep price...I think I’d get it if i was going for show quality but the cap I have on my dash now works fine. Maybe if it were cheaper I’d get it

 

I hope there not the same ones you can get off ebay. . . the A1 Auto or what-have-you.

 

Yeah, some other company makes a new pad too...I cant remember who though. Anyone remember? I thought it was cheaper...

 

A-1 Parts doesn`t have anything cheap enough to be considered reasonable...... ebay has pads for about 100-125.....plus shipping....most of the sellers don`t know the difference between a firebird pad and a camaros.........buy the pads from northern towns, they don`t see any heat or sunlight so they are not so brittle that they crack

 

true but if you think about it its not 20 years old. Even though on ebay there cheaper They may crack still tommrow. Maybe these may even crack tommrow also. Who knows.

I think Id still get one.

 

Up here in vancouver, bc. I have only actually seen one cracked dashpad. and up here they RARELY crack. however all the ones at the junkyards have scuff marks on them and stuff. If i find mint ones i post em up here for sale (i have one for sale right now)

Thats exactly the way I see it. If I can find a perfect used dashpad locally I might would buy it, but theres no way I would pay to have one shipped when it may be cracked before it gets to my door. I'll probably keep my cracked one until I can afford to get a new OER one.

 

Im asking $100 for the pad. its in the parts for sale forum. and yes its a camaro one
