Will this work?
I'm new here and have a few questions. First off I own a 1987 Camaro, it has no airbag and I have the wheel out because I had to fix the high beams switch. I want to replace the wheel with a grant steering wheel to get rid of the not so great looking stock one. This is what I am currently looking at
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...estions=%5B%5D
and then useing this wheel, now will it fit? From what I have read it will.

i see you are ordering it from autozone, if you have a store close to you, just go in and ask them if it will fit, they should know.

Hmm, hopefully they know because everytime I go there it seems like they don't know what they are talking about. Also these cars don't seem to have what they call an "accessory" turn back so I can rock out to my stereo.

Ya i know what you mean by not getting help from autozone. the one closest to my house is really good and they come out to your car, i had one of the guys talkin to me for 45 min before he had to leave. but then i went up to a different one for a fuel pump and they didn't help me at all. in order for the pump's warentee to be good, i have to by a new strainer and fuel filter. when i got the pump from her she didn't tell me any of that, and then she put my change in the bag with the pump (not cool). she didn't want to help me at all.

Sure as heck beats the ugly stock one, its not bad for the price so I can't pass on it.

Actually its a black light, probably going to put it under the dash or get some other neons to go full out under the dash.

Re: Will this work?
The previous owner installed an identical wheel on my car... I really like it. Just like you said, it has a classic feel and look to it. It did seem small at first, but once i got used to it, i prefer it. I bet you never have a hard time reading that gas gauge! WOW. nice work.

Well thats good knews at least hopefully I will be happy with it once I get used to it. I know that gauge is HUGE idk what GM was thinking. If i ever run out of gas I'll be embarrassed.

Re: Will this work?
Where your gas guage is, my Tach sits.
I actually just swapped my whole steering column out. I ditched my 89's for a 91's. The wheel on the 91 is much bigger, and makes it harder to read my guages.
But whoever designed the stock wheel in the 89 should be beat with a rubber hose. It was bad.
Your wheel looks really nice, though. Especially on a budget.
