Speedometer calibration ???

I have a mechanical speedometer from a 89 IROC that I am trying to calibrate. It's reading about 11 mph slow, It appears that there is a window on the back of the housing that you use as a timing window. There are some counter weights in there also. Am I on the right track? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank's

You might take a peek at the following info in advance of attempting anything too drastic:

Re: Speedometer calibration ???

The speedometer worked fine until my son removed the needle. I think it's just a matter of getting the counter weights in time with the needle.

You might have better luck experimenting with needle placement.
