Re: B&M Megashifter
Don't have a pic of mine, but I really like it. If you didn't buy the shorter cable, you might want to consider it. The shift cable that comes with it has to be looped over the transmission. Not a real big deal but the extra length can result is a really stiff shifter. Good luck with your project. Oh, yeah. It will take longer to install than you think. I would recommend having a friend help you out.

Re: B&M Megashifter
Dont get it!!!!!! i hated mine. It was a PITA to drive. I got the short cable and routed everything PERFECT and it was a bitch to shift. My wife couldnt drive the car it was so bad. The thing i hated the most besides being able to bech 300lbs to shift it was you have to ratchet it all the way down to 1st you cant just yank it all the way down then ratchet up. This was on my old 83 i had. My 89 will be getting a hurst and we will make it work with the stock consol.

Re: B&M Megashifter
in the process of putting in new carpet and patching floor rust, it does shift a littlie hard from park to reverse but is not a bad shifter and makes it easy that it will fit under the stock consol

The boot was trashed so I made my own.

Re: B&M Megashifter
The center console with that shifter looks nice.
How hard was console and shifter install?
Would be nice if the chrome part was black.

Re: B&M Megashifter
The chrome stick, **** or shifter cover can all be painted to whatever works for your car. I thought about painting the shifter cover black and putting a black ****. I'll do it when I get bored.......

Re: B&M Megashifter
I'll look into changing mine out. Seeing as my wife has her go do something and leave me to go shopping. OK shoes and **** for her, console and shifter maybe new seats for me . Lol
I'll paint the base with truck bedliner spray to match the grain of the dash.

Re: B&M Megashifter
True, chrome against black is pretty badass looking.
Is the button on top for nos or trans brake? Or is it the release mechanism for reverse lockout?

I bought a used B&M Megashifter & I've ended up changing directions so I won't be using it. $75 + shipping if anyone is interested.
