Don't have a pic of mine, but I really like it. If you didn't buy the shorter cable, you might want to consider it. The shift cable that comes with it has to be looped over the transmission. Not a real big deal but the extra length can result is a really stiff shifter. Good luck with your project. Oh, yeah. It will take longer to install than you think. I would recommend having a friend help you out.

Dont get it!!!!!! i hated mine. It was a PITA to drive. I got the short cable and routed everything PERFECT and it was a bitch to shift. My wife couldnt drive the car it was so bad. The thing i hated the most besides being able to bech 300lbs to shift it was you have to ratchet it all the way down to 1st you cant just yank it all the way down then ratchet up. This was on my old 83 i had. My 89 will be getting a hurst and we will make it work with the stock consol.

I've got a barely used one if you wanna buy it. Not planning on using it.

That said, I didn't like it. It got way too hot, and just was a pain to use.

in the process of putting in new carpet and patching floor rust, it does shift a littlie hard from park to reverse but is not a bad shifter and makes it easy that it will fit under the stock consol

have installed a few of them.(6). smoothing working shifter.
even a girl can use it.. dont know about all the hard to use installs..

if its hard to use its not in right..bottom line

I have one. Kept pulling the handle off. Got one from a friend for free but it's a hurst.
The boot was trashed so I made my own.

Here's mine.....after I got rid of the Megashifter (I hated it), and went with the B&M Pro Ratchet......oh, and a 4th gen center console.

Thanks man, it takes patience and cutting and removing the existing shifter components on the 4th gen console to make it work. Also, you have to drill your own holes, the existing ones won't match up. You will have to shim it to the correct height on the back. The cover piece is actually trimmed away just under the console, which you can't see. The factory B&M shifter cover is too big and presses up against the console, which could cause the plastic to break.

The chrome stick, **** or shifter cover can all be painted to whatever works for your car. I thought about painting the shifter cover black and putting a black ****. I'll do it when I get bored.......

I'll paint the base with truck bedliner spray to match the grain of the dash.

That sounds like a good idea....should look really nice. However, you may find out that you like the contrast more than blending everything in. That's actually what makes it look so unique.

Just something to think about.......

Line lock....for heating up the slicks at the drag strip.
