stock custom leather seat covers...who to buy from?
Looking for a vendor that carries what I want.
I'm looking for a custom set of replacement OEM style covers for my cloth seats. I like two toning the seats which is what I want to customize (med gray and black). Naturally, I dont want crap, as this is a 63k mile '88 GTA. I just want to kick it up a notch.
Pics would be great. I haven't had much luck with leatherseats.com, which is who I used to two tone my old C5's interior. Those seats were sweet!

I have the covergirl crafting some red/black houndstooth on black leather covers. Stay tuned for pics and a quality report. She seems genuinely interested in creating a quality product.
Re: stock custom leather seat covers...who to buy from?
I bought some stock covers from First Gen... But I want to install them today and of course they are not what I want at all... I had a black cover with grey inners... the news ones are charcoal and don't fit worth crap. I'm very disappointed but not sure I want to go through all the trouble of replacing all my seat covers again.
Anyone suggest other venders with a better fit?
Thanks!

I don't know about you guys but, I'm a DIY guy and I tried putting seat skins on myself once(bought the hog ring pliers and all) and ended up with crappy looking seats....SO I paid the money to have an upholstery shop fix my mess and it was money well spent. good luck
Re: stock custom leather seat covers...who to buy from?
ill post pictures of seat covers made by covergirl and installed by me. Covergirl "Princess" seems more than willing to help me install through professional instruction. Also, she has a link to a good instructional video. I expect my covers mid next week. Pics and a report should happen within a few weeks.

Hey Steve,
If those seats turn out good, maybe we can get together and have an upholstery party.

I'm still keen to try the leather covers from www.leatherseats.com and will probably order some in the next couple of weeks.
Any recommendations appreciated.

Re: stock custom leather seat covers...who to buy from?
Today I had much better luck. Maybe because I was away from the seats for a night. The install today went perfect. The Hog pliers worked perfectly and the fit was good. I realized that yesterday the bun side of the new covers had extra foam padding which was not needed... so on the drivers side it fits like a glove. I did not have one of those small staple guns for the ultra slim staples for my head rest.... I guess I'll have to find a staple gun or take it to a shop somewhere. I painted the seat rails where you can see them and reinstalled the seats. They actually match fine even though they were not exactly what I wanted from the first order... now I have to do the rear seats. Hope First Gen does not screw that order up and give me what I had originally now. Go figure.
Next up - rear seats, head liner and dash pad. Looking great so far.

I upholstered my back seats last night. covergirl's seat covers are fabulous! Absolutely perfect. Great fit, stitch quality, detail, and look great. My wife even said "wow, very nice." That's a testament given that she normally doesn't give two s,/@!?. Pictures are forthcoming once I get the fronts installed.
