What are the differences between the wiring of the gta and camaro? will it be easy to swap gauges into my camaro? the trans am gauges are so much cooler

 

PO put Firebird dash, gauges, & console in the Camaro.

The install is not complete--
The only things that work so far are tach, volt meter & gas gauge.
Spring will be a busy time for the remaining items to trace // connect for us!!

I -**think**- the GTA gauges would have to be connected to senders // sensors with the same " values " as a GTA.

 

I guess I could splice the gta pig tails into the camaro harness

 

You'll hafta swap pretty much the entire dash. The GTA has no "wiring plugs" off the gauges. The entire gauge cluster comes out as 1 big assembly & has (basically) 2 big sockets that communicate all the gauges to the car.

So if you are willing to swap the entire dash assembly then it is "easy".

I have 1 pic of the front of a gauge cluster, but no pic of the back.

 

lol yea thats what i was planning on doing, i like the interior of the GTAs i was gonna do door pannels as well

 

The arm rests on the GTAs are different & won't fit on a standard Firebird or any Camaro, unless you add the different bracket to the door, that they mount on.

 

 

well thanks good to know, ill just have to steal that bracket as well shouldn't be to hard to rivet in
