stupid cheap button on stock shift knob

stupid cheap button on stock shift ****

hey guys. i wanna put an aftermarket shift **** on my camaro because i hate the cheap piece of crap that the factory puts on it. is there some way to just get rid of that **** and safety button and put an aftermarket one on it? or do these shifters HAVE to have that button?

All right grasshopper you must learn something about this forum. You should read other posts for awhile and take note how they are phrased and maybe someone would answer yours phrased in a different way.

Would have takin ya less time to hit the back button then to answer with this carp reply..... grow up..

To the op yes u can put a *aftermarket* **** **** on I think that b&m makes a nice t handle one. Call ur local parts store and see what they have on hand.

thanks for actually giving a good response man. lol. but only thing is that i'm just lookin for a replacement for the shift ****. im not a big fan of all the b&m shifter setups and stuff like that. im really just wanting to know if i can just take the old shift **** off, cut that stupid safety button that you gotta press to shift, and then just screw a new one on. i saw a car on craigslist with this done, but i dont know how functional it was for him. anyone who has any info with this plz let me know asap.

Ok well if that's what ur wanting leave the safety button but set ur new **** on top of i t so that its pushing the safety button down always.. but be warned u could mess ur tranny up doing this if u kick it in to revirse or what not and then idk if u can get ur key out by doing this

You push the ball down which pushes the adapter that pushes the button so you don't have to worry about accidentally throwing it in reverse.
