seat repair
I never post in this section of TGO so this might sound like a newbie question. I had my drivers seat recovered 2 years ago. The guy charges me a few hundred dollars. From the looks of it he just must have ordered the covering for the seat as a kit. I'd like to just do it myself if I can find a kit. Does anyone have any ifo where I can get a kit to recover my passenger seat??? Thanks

Re: seat repair
This is my drivers seat that i had done over for a few hundred...passenger is same but ripped.
If I can find an upholstery kit for the passenger seat I'd like to do it myself other wise I guess I'll be going back to the guy that id the drivers seat.

Re: seat repair
Those seat covers look like an aftermarket product.
Google around and you will find aftermarket vendors that will sell you covers for thirdgen seats.
Some pretty good vids on youtube too that show how to install seat covers. Unless you can crush softballs with your bare hands, it looks like investment in a GOOD set of hog-ring pliers is the best place to start the job.

Re: seat repair
Probably can't go wrong with that.
I mean you could have just pulled a Molly Hatchet '93 concert T-shirt over the ripped seat, and called it good.
But I don't blame you for wanting something a little more elegant.

Re: seat repair
I'm going w/ lethalinteriors or the "covergirl" is her aka on this site.
Ultra leather covers - all 4 seats w/ GTA embroidery, 2 sun visors and 2 ttop blinds, $770 I thought was very reasonable. I will probably do it this summer.
New carpet and sound proofing along w/ the above will be awesome. Just need to zero in on new seat belt. Found a place that does that also.

Since I will have the car apart going to replace window motors, so I will have a big project on my hands.
recently redied the steering wheel with leatherique product, came out very nice.
