Researching this is a pain in the rear, since no one likes to list exactly what version/style they bought and every website changes names/colors of the carpet.
I know it all comes from ACC.
ACC stuff is good now since they bought the only other carpet manufacturer.
My car is a 91 Formula with grey interior and as best I can tell the Dove grey/medium grey is the color I want? Looking for some verification help please.
I am going with the mass backing, putting back in what I took out.
From what I can gather rockauto does have the best prices on acc carpet, now ACC 8272162 the proper number for what I want??
It really sucks that everyone calls everything something different and it all comes from the same place
I would call ACC and get a bunch of samples from them. Then you can make the best choice by actually seeing the color next to the original. Nothing is exact so you will have to find a close match. This is what I did when I bought my carpet.
It met the garbage can of doom when I found out I was rebuilding the cowl and driver floorpan............ If there is green stuff growing its time to go.
I only have door panels and rear(not the same) carpet to go by.
I have the stock grey interior in my 91 Firebird and ordered all the grey Ultra-Plush carpet samples from them. None of them were an exact match. The closest one is Grey (1066). I'm not sure about the Med. Grey sample, it just seems way too dark for med. grey. Maybe they had a mix up and sent charcoal instead?? It looks like you have more color choices on the regular pile cut samples. I would order both sets and see what you get.

I know I wish we had a little better on the colors to matching wise. Although even if u compare stock cars to stock cars(low mileage examples) there is a decent variance. Looks like splitting it in the middle is probably best aka med grey/dove grey.
Maybe you should have ordered some Cut Pile Carpet samples also. The cut Pile and the Plush Pile might be different in color.Just a thought!!!
As far as I can tell, Stockinteriors only has plush cut pile and ultra-plush cut pile. I originally ordered the ultra-plush cut pile (see the photo) and just now ordered the plush cut pile to compare colors. Hopefully one of those matches closer.
I recieved the grey plush cut pile carpet samples today from Stockinteriors. These are much closer to the original carpet color. I removed the drivers side rear seat to get the best original carpet sample I could. Hopefully this helps someone in the future needing new carpet.
Stockinteriors plush cut pile carpet samples From Left to Right: 8075, 8078, 8019
I took several other pictures at different locations ( floor board, tranny tunnel, etc) and it seems like 8019 is the best overall match.

Good luck on your carpet swap.
ACC has dove grey and its a perfect match. They will send samples. The ACC samples shown in a previous post do not look right at all. Maybe they've formulated colors better since then.
