Errant Vacuum line under driver's side dash
I'm putting my under dash trim panels back together in my 1987 Firebird Formula and i noticed this big vacuum line which looks like it needs to go somewhere. I'm thinking it used to go to the old automatic brake pedal assembly that use to be in the car, but i figured i would throw it up on the board to see if someone can confirm that. It's been a while since i took it apart.
Thanks,
Steve

That's kind of what i thought it was. And i guess i can chalk this up to the "problem i'll fix later category." Once i looked a bit harder, i saw where it goes and why i didn't hook it up. This plug is in the way. I'm not sure what it does. Thought it was related to the column lock, but it doesn't seem to be. Perhaps the shift interlock from the automatic transmission shifter?

That's the high beam switch. Which is more important to you? Cruise control? or High beams?
Fun fact - You can get a foot tapper high beam switch for older Chevy car or pickup, and bolt it to the floor, then just extend the wires and plug it in. LOL

I think that is just what I might do. I can probably live without high beams, but I do enjoy my cruise control. Thanks for the help.

Could you simply swap the mounted location of the brake pedal LIGHT switch and the Brake Pedal CRUISE switch so you have everything working again ??

I don't believe so. The high beam switch is mounted to the column and is actuated by a mechanical rod from the turn signal stalk.

No-No; Not what I meant,..........
The Brake pedal has more than 1 mounting location for switches. Could you move the Brake pedal mounted LIGHT switch and the Brake pedal mounted CRUISE Control switch ?? If you move the 2 switches on the brake pedal,... will the cruise switch have the space needed to re-connect the Cruise vacuum line ?
