Solved. Got annoyed and pulled off the casing and once that is off you can pull the belt out. There's a cog that has a tooth that catches on it and you can just hold that away from the cog and pull out as much belt as needed. Hopefully this helps others if they encounter this.

Hi guys, since I can't upload a video, would appreciate if you could use this link to fb, I need to try get this fixed asap as it's holding up putting the interior back together. They're stuck closed and I can't get enough length out of them to re install. They're the type that anchor over the rear wheel arches. As usual any help is much appreciated.
