Stock LS1 swap 1/4 mile times
Howdy,
Ran my 89 IROC with 98 ls1 / t56 in it at the track recently. stock ls1, using a restricitve tpi cold air intake (haven't gotten around to messing with it yet). Best 13.30 @ 106.xx with a 2.0 60' (245 street tires). It has been a daily driver, has about 5600 miles on the swap, several drag strip days, auto-x, and drift event. No issues, been happy with it.

list your WHOLE slip...
im really intrested in your 1/8th numbers, 330 (if you have it), and 60.
since the swap, ive only been to the local 1/8ths, but back when it was stock, thru a stock 99z28 muffler, she ran consistant 8.2s on street tires... and 8.0s on DRs.

good times, get a tenth or two of you r60 and youll be in the 12s
I'm have a 3.42 rear, and i'm using a restrictive intake. I'm using the stock tpi snorkle intake (dynoed at 300 rwhp / 313 trq with the tpi intake, without the tpi intake it dynoed 317 rwhp / 326 trq). I was planning on making another intake, but haven't bothered with it. 7k miles on the street, been very happy with it

Awesome!!! I am want to find a nice shell and do a swap myself.
The MPH is impressive with the restrictive intake. My old TPI 350 Formula ran a 13.52@100. Interesting how my TPI would EAT LS1's to 60-70mph. After that, that would walk past me like I was standing still.
LS1 is easily the best production motor even made.

What mods did you have done to the TPI car? That's a pretty good-time.
Around here, stock LS1 4th Gens run high 13s (13.6s-13.9s). A little slower than the average, but were are at around 2000" elevation. I'm thinking that with the Hawks LTs, a cat-back, and a high flowing CAI my swap should be a low 13 maybe high 12s (once I get used to the T56). Does this seem acheivable?
