3rd and 4th gen clytch hydraulics question.

Is it possible to use a 3rd gen master cylinder with a 4th gen slave and line?

I need a new Master anyway and i'd like to get a 3rd gen one to hopefully fix the high engagement point.

I realize this is not exactly what you are asking, but just wanted to throw in my two cents. When I did my swap, I used new 4th gen pedals and a new LT1 4th gen master/line/slave pre-bled setup from GM and it works flawlessly and was a virtual bolt-in when switching my auto car to manual.

Would u happen to have the part number on that setup? Or the t-5 one?

Even a affiliated Gm dealership tells my friend in parts they all come seperatly

the master/slave cylinder from GM definitely comes together as one preassembled unit, that's why the price is so high on it.

Unforchanetly not according to the Santilli Caddilac Center ( GM Parts depart.)

which is affiliated with the dealer i work for about 30 feet away lol

and when i had my parts dept. call over for them to check they said the slave and line come seperate, which i said to them that there was a pre assmbled unit. But they couldnt find it as of today.

a part number would probly help which is why im trying to locate one, but the search on the forums seemed to be ****ed up so :S

hum.... lets get this cleared up so no one else gets confused

Now these are all GM dealer ordered! (aftermarket parts will show and sell parts seperatly... although I have not seen the hoses on there own I am sure they are where???)

#1) hyd. slave and master come as one ready to install preassembled unit for thirdgens.

#2) Hyd. slave and master for only 93-97 f-body's are sold as ready to install preassembled units

#3) the 98-02 f-body comes as seperate units master is one with hose , the throwout bearing is sold on it's own and is the slave for this style trans.

Sorry, I dont have any part numbers handy. I ordered the parts from Hawks Thirdgen for much more reasonable prices than I could get at local dealerships.

I just called hawks and asked Bruce for clutch hydraulics and pedals for a 94 Z28 and they sent me the right stuff for the job. Both parts were new GM parts. I dont remember for sure, but I think the pedals were around $120 and the hydraulics (master/line/slave combo setup) were about $140. Dont quote me on those prices as I am not sure on them.
----------
Im using the hydraulics on a T56. Im not sure if the slave on that assembly is correct for a T5. I would assume it would work because I have heard of people using thirdgen T5 hydraulics on a T56 swap.

Re: 3rd and 4th gen clytch hydraulics question.

93-95 (95 1st design) LT1 12557509 Clyinder CLU MAS & ACTR

95 (2nd design) 12559912 Clyinder CLU MAS & ACTR

As far as I can tell there were a few different part numbers for the 96-02 clutch hydraulics. The master and actuator are seperate numbers as far as I can tell. I can list them if you guys want them
