Interesting. That's one of the next things on my list to buy. So it worked perfectly?

Ya know, if you do a quick search of this forum you'll get dozens of answers to all of your questions. The rad hose question has been answered in many threads. You can probably do your whole swap just by reading through Ghetto's, BlueZee's and Pocket's build threads.

Re: 90 firebird formula merges with LQ4 ( questions!!! )

so my question still stands, cause for some odd reason the people the replied are *******s and cant just say the part number from dayco or whatever company you get them from. think of it this way. those threads you mentioned are long as **** so why would i spend hours of my time when all i have to do is ask so what radiator hoses do you need for this swap? i no a member used one from a f150 i believe that fit like a glove. but that doesnt help cause guess what i stil dont KNOW!! so anyone whocares to actualy inform the people on this thread instead of saying search it. please relay some light on this thanks

Re: 90 firebird formula merges with LQ4 ( questions!!! )

Just get a flex hose and stop bs'ing. You have this thread to 12 pages of just stupid questions that we have already covered dozens of times over. I'm wondering why we even entertain this crap of a build. Your real lazy and if you had the chance would have us do then freaking swap for you. Its not that hard to go off someone elses build or use google. And yeah I'm happy to finally unsubscribe to this thread and save me the trouble of deleting the email notification.

21 sounds right. Grow up and take care of business that's more important than the car. If you don't have the time to research the swap just put it on the back burner for now.

Re: 90 firebird formula merges with LQ4 ( questions!!! )

I'll help you out since some people would rather just get on here and waste time acting like a jerk instead of just answering the question! Dayco lower hose is 71321 & the upper hose is 71994 (Dayco also). I haven't actually got my engine in the car yet, so I'm not 100% sure of how they will fit, but I got these numbers from reading a bunch of threads. Maybe some of the nicer members can verify the numbers for you.

Half of these posts are double posts from you, and you asking the same question more than once, and asking questions that have been answered many times before.

I know your wife has an illness, and that you're receiving money from an accident, and that you still haven't paid Pocket for the harness he made for you, and that you've changed your mind on what you wanna do with the car about 20 times. That is why this thread is 12 pages long.

You can call me an a**h*le if you want, but RockJay is right, you're either too lazy to search the forum for 5 minutes, or else you're just looking for attention for your build thread like some of the other ones posted here.

My suggestion, buy a complete car, swap in the LSx and enjoy it. You're taking on so much, the body, interior, engine drivetrain, wheels etc, when you don't have the money to do all of it.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-...third-gen.html

That thread can answer most of your questions right there, and no searching required.

Re: 90 firebird formula merges with LQ4 ( questions!!! )

I could use some cash for my paint job, bring the thing to St Louis and I'll finish the swap (labor) for a couple hundred bucks. There's no reason to have a 12 page thread and no running car.

Re: 90 firebird formula merges with LQ4 ( questions!!! )

well i when i went to the junkyard i found the triangle that go in the corner of the doors. found the door handle covers so the interior is pretty much done the only thing left is the headliner. so pretty darn excited. i gotta go to the junkyard again and get some of those plastic nuts the are for the plastics in the car so get that stuff and ill be set almost got the money together for pocket so in about a week and ill be able to get that back. sorry for stupidity guys. my wife was in the er and uh i hadnt had anysleep for like five days so i am sorry for the long thread. and for me repeating. i just get excited and wanna talk to someone bout it and i feel like this is a avenue for that but since it annoys you guys then ill stop and post the necessary. rockjay sorry shift sorry

If using a 3rd gen V8 radiator:
Lower: Dayco 71321 (trimming required)
Upper: 3.4L 94-95 Firebird application, Gates 20893 (also requires trimming)

Get the wiring in and done first. When your ready to tune I can connect you with a couple local tuners. (Labor).

Re: 90 firebird formula merges with LQ4 ( questions!!! )

None of my combos are mild or stock-ish in the least, so his services are useless to me. Several members on LS1tech have used him with success, so I provided the link

If I ever did a mild/stockish combo I would go that route because the deal is appealing. I can get a PCM from a JY for about $30, then add $100 for a tune from a close friend. BAM, same as this guy charges. Even if you do it yourself, its hard to beat. Assuming you got HPtuners for free, tuning a PCM takes 2 credits at $50 each. Back to square one

Re: 90 firebird formula merges with LQ4 ( questions!!! )

Suite yourself, If your running a stock setup then turning things off like VATS is rediculously easy. I wouldn't even want to pay $100 to have it done. Let me know if you want me to check with him if he would tune for you and how much he would charge for a simple VATS dissable. I have seen some horrific mail order tunes from supposed expert tuners. For example wrong injector sizing. WOT tuning only. Timing cranked waaaay back. That market has a tendency to tune extra safe so they don't get blamed for damaged engines. Sometimes to the point of pumping some heavy fuel smoke to rival a diesel.

Just trying to help.
