non-mounting motor mounts
Hello again.....question?
I have a 91 RS Camaro with a BMR tubular K member...I had a
RamJet 350 in it before...
I now am going with a LSX block(427HO) from Mast Motorsports..
I used a moroso hard mounts from the 350 and purchased the mounting
plates for off-setting the mounts from Speedway....
Prob is when motor went in...it lined up on Driver side...1/4 inch off
on the pass..the hard mount is 3/8 thick....
well is there any thing out there I could look out!!!
I'm going to get a buddy to plane the brackets up a 1/8 off both of them...
and see if that does it....MOCK up``````````````the ones I'm making now are 1/4 in....tks for the in

Re: non-mounting motor mounts
Here this is the deal ....I have a LSX block.... and it is
made into a 427HO. The plates for the block in order
for it to work with a Small Block BMR K-member...came
from Speedway.com(LS-1 to SB mounting plates)
I have used a Moroso solid mount SB mounts that mount
to the bracket...
I was curious if the LSX blocks are a 1/4 in bigger in size then
then a LS-1, 3, or so on...
I will try to get pics on here...any ideas
Reason I ask is a buddy used the same K-member and plates with
solid mounts and slide right in...so....

Re: non-mounting motor mounts
LSX blocks are the same dimensions as stock. The adapter plates are the problem. Loosen the bolts and try to shoot the mount bolts through again. You may have to slightly slot the holes

Re: non-mounting motor mounts
Hey Pocket...yeah it looks like a 1/8 in with a drimal tool
would put me in the spot...but I thought that might be to
risky...or maybe not.
I have a buddy cutting some on a 1/4in aluminum..to see if that will work..
Trying the pics the way you said tooo..tks for the help

hole in the mount..should work
I will try the mounting plates first!!
I have the 1/4in ones being made...
