92 Z28 with 6.0L LQ4 swap

hi there to everyone here at TGO. this is a project that has taken almost 3 years to complete from buying a camaro with a rusted bottom to a piece of art. I have personally dismantaled 3 camaros for parts(82,85,87). i am aalmost done with it and will update the link with more pics but i was so exited that i wanted to share. thanks to Pocket for all his help so far and anyone else that has responded to my calls for help. i am not a mechanic but i figured if it has bolts, nuts or screws then i could do it. i am doing a complete write up and will repost when its complete. i am only 90% complete so bear with me.

Looking good so far

Ill tell you from experience, its easier to change the balancer with the engine removed. It looks like you still need to swap the car piece on there

Re: 92 Z28 with 6.0L LQ4 swap

Thanks for all the compliments. So far the swap has been quite expensive regardless of who elses swap was cheap, I decided not to cut any corners because from experience it cost In the long run.
Lq4 from eBay. 800.00 shipped with 65,000 miles
4l60e tranny from 04 gto 500.00 ls1 intake was included
swap mounts 90.00
camaro mounts 40.00
wiring harness prebuilt 350.00
ECM with programming 125.00
umi torque arm relocations tranny cross member 300.00
plus tons of petty cash on fittings, filters, hoses etc.
There's more but can't think but in my write up I itemized everything
I am up to 3500.00 for the swap and 8000.00 with project car and swap
look on my face when I don't have to fund this anymore. Priceless

about that. i ordered an oil pan for a camaro/colorado/nova LSX swap auction on ebay and i got a low profile aluminum pan thats shaped similar to the stock 6.0L pan but smaller. anyway i call my self trying to save and i got the wrong thing. dont get me wrong the pan is new and came with you know the windage and pickup plus bolts but to save 20.00 bucks from the price of a new camaro pan was stupid on my part. it sits about 1-2 inches past K-member. so since i had plans on a big wheel size i accepted my lost.

Sounds like the H8 pan. Would work fine in a 1st or 2nd gen f-body, but hangs down a bit low on the 3rd gens.

Looking to do this swap in my 91 Camaro, boosted. Would appreciate any feedback you have! Looking to do a T56 as well. Any issues you've run into?
