SHE RUNS!!!! But now I need to ba able to drive it!

I have a 1988 Camaro that I have swapped a 94 LT1 into. I have retained the stock 700r trans. The LT1 just underwent a rering. I updated the opti to the vented style. I removed all EGR and smog. The computer has been tuned by PCM for less. He performed the performance tune and removed VATS and EGR tuned out the trans since Im running the 700r. I have it running finally but cant seem to get it quite right. Its idling high (appx. 1500 was at 2200 before I discovered a missing ground on the IAT sensorand swapped out the throttle body and sensors attached), it seems to hesitate badly when I give it gas, If I unplug the MAF it runs much better but idles back at 2200 ish. I havent wired up a aldl port yet. I dont understand the wiring quite yet. I am unsure if I should go with the thirdgens 12 pin or if I should order a 16 pin connector. I will also need to then aquire the proper cable to connect to my laptop. If you could help me with either problem fixing the running issue or wiring the ALDL I would greatly appreciate it.
I must also say THANKS greatly to the members of this site. I have made it through rebuilding my first lt1 and getting it to run because of this site. This has been a long time dream for me to swap this motor into a thirdgen and I am so happy to have found this wonderful place to help me accomplish it! I never thought I would be this far!! I can now go to my garage turn the key and hear a motor roar to life in a car I have owned for two years and never ridden in or driven!!!!!!!

Actually I drove it around the block for the first time about an hour ago. It was the slowest, best ride I have ever taken!!!!

I have gathered its best to use the 12 pin ALDL. So I am going to reuse the third gen 12 pin. Can anyone tell me the pin at the PCM and where to connect it on the ALDL EXACTLY. I havent seen a single post anywhere that outlines this clearly. Im looking for KISS here. (IE, black pcm connector pin 5 to ALDl slot G just as a for example)

PCM D20 WHT/BLK to ALDL B, Connect PCM to C207 E WHT/BLK
PCM D30 TAN to ALDL M, Connect PCM to C207 J ORN

Everything else required for the OBDI ALDL is in place, these are the output field service and serial data

Also don't forget that you will also need an external power source for whatever cable you are using. I wired up the OBDII connector on my '95 (that's the one they had) and it has power in it unlike the 12 pin connectors.

Connect the PCM at the pins given to the C207 pins given. Those will reach the desired ALDL pins given
