I've seen a few front mount turbo kits for sale on tech and was wondering if the 3rd gen and 4th gen k-member are about the same? I see kits with the basic truck manifold hot-side and was wondering if it will clear everything in my '85 as the kit would in the 4th gen?
So basically if I was to buy the 4th gen turbo kit on ebay, would it fit in my engine compartment? lol. Thanks for any input

 

i was thinkin the same thing but think it wont fit cause the power steering box.

 

Easyiezt way is to use truck manifolds with Flanges cut off and welding V-bands on, then building your own hot pipes

 

Yeah I curious if it would work. I just might have a shop custom make one. But I'm sure it will be more $$$

Anything can be made to work..is it worth trying ..not in this application.Your much better off having it made by a reputable shop.I dont regret going this route at all and it wasnt all that expensive.I did the cold side myself.

 

Thanks I'm going to look into it to see what they will charge. I took a look at yours those welds look like they should have been expensive so if they wasn't you got a great deal!

 

trust me i was impressed with my hotside kit. Just shopped around and found a guy that was super cool and appreciated what I wanted and wanted to challenge himself and showcase his work with my car.We made a deal..He did amazing work and took a billion pics and I refer as many ppl to him as I can and he gave me a good price.I even tipped!
