front spring
What is everybody using for front springs in there lsx swap? I have stock springs and tubular kmember with an aluminum ls1 i have noticed that the front sits higher then before. Will v6 springs work? I perfer to stay away from lowering springs, I like the stock height. Any Inputs?

Re: front spring
I chopped my stock Iroc-z spring 1/2 coil and my car is absolutely straight/level with the ground. The ride/handling is good too.
Re: front spring
Cutting 1/2 coil seems to be the trick, I have used both Moog 5662 as well as GM WS6 front springs on mine...both minus 1/2 coil to set the ride height.
The Moogs are significantly stiffer and not very pleasant on bumpy streets, but are excellent on road courses. The WS6 springs are a good compromise but the car nose-dives during really hard braking.

Re: front spring
I was running Eibach Sport-line lowering springs on mine when I had the old L98 engine in it. And I did a lot of searching here on tg.org on what to do with the springs when an LS is in the car, so I cut my Eibachs 1/2 coil as everybody (including me now) were saying, but with those springs cut 1/2 coil the car was almost on the ground and totally undriveable , so be aware of what type/brand of spring that you cut. But as I mentioned before, my stock Iroc-z spring cut 1/2 coil made it super nice

Re: front spring
I had to cut a half coil off of a set of Bell Tech 2" lowering springs to get it down just under stock ride height.

Re: front spring
Eibach sport springs. Used from a member here. Height and stance are perfect for me. No cutting or removing isolators at all.
Tho...we'll see what it looks like with the iron 6.0 vs the LS1. I think I have a LITTLE room for the front to drop so should be ok.

Yes.
Probably not the best view, but it sits a little high with V6 springs.

Not so bad on the launch, though...

I cut half a coil off of V8 front springs for the LS1/4L60E car. It sits pretty much like it did with the Gen I SBC with iron heads and TH700.

Re: front spring
I'm running Eibach Sportlines in the front and new stock springs in the back. Tubular Kmember and spring isolators all around. Sportlines in the rear had the car almost raked the opposite way.

Re: front spring
Hotchkis springs here with tubular k and an iron block. I will post a pic later but it doesnt sit higher than the rear, pretty even. I love the look.

Re: front spring
This is how mine sits with one whole coil cut off

A inch or so drop in the rear would look good imo, but its fine for now.

Re: front spring
So I ended up cut a coil off the front and 1&1/2 off the rear. These are new spring btw.
