Can someone with one of these tell me what the distance is between the mounting holes an the top of the throttle body ?
I know the dbw are different because they don't have the IAC casting.
I'm using an edelbrock elbow, and I can't use an LS1 throttle body because the very corner of the throttle body kisses the hood.

Flip it upside down and move the cable bracket over

I don't know if the flange will allow that, I think the IAC passage would have a vac leak. Originally Posted by Pocket

What do you think?
My other option is running a foxbody throttle body I guess.

My mistake, thought you were using a 4 bolt TB which uses a symmetrical flange and can be flipped
Ill measure mine the next time Im home

I tried with an LS1 throttle body, and their is not enough material on the bottom for the top bolt. Originally Posted by Pocket

This does have an LS2 bolt pattern, so I could try one of those.
I'm an idiot. I didn't consider flipping the LS2 over vs the LS1 I have. There is no IAC passage on the flange side of an LS2. duh.
I'll still need to know the distance between the bolt and the top though, because I can't have it crash into my valve cover

The LS2 pattern on this flange has different bolt spacing on top vs bottom.
What is the actual spacing of an LS2 throttle body?
There is plenty of room between the flange and the valvecover, so I could actually flip an LS2 throttle body upside down (even if I have to drill out a different pattern) and just make a cable bracket..

See if that helps
Cant imagine why your flange would not have symmetric spacing. I had to make a flange for my blower and ended up flipping the TB without changing anything other than the throttle bracket

Found out online that edelbrock drills the top holes for LS2, but not the bottom, so you have to drill 'em yourself. The bottom holes are LS1 spacing which is narrower. Originally Posted by Pocket

Would you prefer to have the throttle body face forward if possible or would you not hesitate to face it over the valve cover?
Thanks!

I cant see it making any difference

I meant in regards to not being able to remove the valvecover without taking the IC piping and throttle body off.Originally Posted by Pocket
