New car to me with lt1 swap problems.
New to this board and new to camaros in general. I have an 82 z28 with a lt1 swap from a 96. I had the computer scanned and came up with these codes. I know the maf can cause multiple problems. But I didn't know I'd the o2 sensors were used when swapped etc. Any help appreciated I looked for answers but just found code explanations.
P0100: mass airflow sensor.
P0141: bank 1 sensor 2
P1381: misfire detected-no communication with the abs controller.
P0153: bank 2 sensor 1
P1380: misfire detected, rough road data
P1441: evap system flow during non-purge.

'96 would have been an obd2 car.
So I'm guessing the swap was done with out using the two rear o2 sensors.
You dont have ABS or a Body control mod. now either.
P0100 is usually a bad MAF sensor. but without the car being in my hands its a guess. (could be wiring, etc.)
sort out that bug then get the pcm tuned for all the other stuff "not needed with the swap" tuned out.

Ok thanks for the info. The car does idle and drove fine as is. I'll check the maf and try to get the pcm tuned.

One more quik question.
My brake lights do not work. I checked fuses. And I looked at the stoplight switches but am not sure what is what. One on top has a single plug with two wires and one on bottom with two plugs with multiple wires. How would I jump this to check the switch itself? I have searched but nothing has given me the correct wires

Re: New car to me with lt1 swap problems.
Those misfires are due to ( I think ) obd2 uses the speed sensors at the wheels to detect a difference between rough roads being a false missfire interpreted through the drivetrain.
I had bad shocks at one point and I got those codes periodically. However mine is a 97 so were resolved easily. Yours might be complexed to fix. There were two abs modules used if the car had traction control or not
you can get those bank sensor codes if the LT1 elbow folds into the throttle body verses over it and air is bypassing the MAF sensor.
P0100 never had that one but there are I think 3 MAF codes. Did you use a year correct MAF?

I UN hooked the maf and checked wiring. Everything appears to be good it's all in a loom. I found a lose intake clamp and put it where it should be and tightened it. Reset the pcm and service light has not came back on. Are the deletes on the pcm necessary? I found a local tuner.

If you dont want a check engine light always coming on YES a tune needs done. He will have to turn off the flags for all stuff not needed.
Id assume rear o2 , any emissions stuff not being used, abs codes,etc..
