5.3 not starting. Help!
So I got everything connector last night. I was ready to finally start the 5.3. I turned the key and got nothing. I started checking everything. The battery is good. The start is good and I had power there. The fuel pump turns on. The radio, lights, and gauges work. Everything time I turned the key the radio would turn off. I then double checked the battery. The battery was still good. The starter is grounded. The battery is grounded. I feel like I am missing something important but I am not sure what is it. Any help would be fantastic! Took 3 years to get to this point and I fell on my face. lol. Thanks

Is it in park? Just finished a swap with my buddy and his camaro wouldn't start. It was in park but when he put his interior back together he forgot to plug in 1 wire on the center console and it wouldn't start. Just a thought

Re: 5.3 not starting. Help!
So I check everything things that has been said but am still running into problems. I didn't wire c100(F4) to anything. Do I need to put this to the starter solenoid or a 12V constant connection? Also, any of you guys wired in the park/neutral safety switch to the PCM? Trying to think outside of the box.
Re: 5.3 not starting. Help!
P/neutral is idle control, nothing to do with the starter circuit. F4 PNK is not used for LSx conversions. B4 PPL is
Here is a 3rd gen starter circuit. Its 90-92 but older cars are very similar

In a nut shell, 12v batter comes from the battery to the C100 at A4, the feeds the IGN switch on the column. When you hit the key, it sends 12v to the starter sol wire which goes through the starter relay on VATS equipped cars. On non-VATS cars it goes directly to the auto shifter which must be in park or neutral. After the shifter, it goes to the C100 at B4 and direct to the starter solenoid
Your problem lies somewhere in there. All the wires are 12ga, so that narrows down your problem areas

Ok so I found my dumb mistake but still not fixed. I forgot to connector the park/neutral connector on the side of the shift. Now my starter just clicks. I tried three different batteries and got the same response. Any ideas?

Yea that's the wire I was talking about. Glad you got that. I'd say bad ground, dead battery. Bad/corroded battery cables are all worth checking.
