Re: Ls swap motor mount

This is the first time I have seen them. I was going to buy the plates so I can reuse the sbc factory mounts plus there only $30 bucks but if I needed all new mounts I would go with something like you got.

Re: Ls swap motor mount

They are a pretty simple mount. I see that kit includes hardware. Factory bolts are metric grade 10.9. GM decided on those for a reason. I replaced mine with new 10.9 grade hardware.

They look like knock offs of the new Hooker mounts.

Think I paid like $100 was what I recall. Or $1300 with the 1 7/8 stainless headers, oil pan and mounts.

Re: Ls swap motor mount

And you think i need to use all 8 bolts on the mounts? the dude i got these from didnt include the nuts so all i got is my factory nuts, he gave me bolts but no nuts, makes perfect sense. i seen that the hawks ounts only used 6 like the factory ones what do you think?

Re: Ls swap motor mount

As for the brake line I didn't get that far. Ended up selling that project and getting one with a tubular K member. I'll be using those mounts/headers/oil pan on my white Iroc. From what I was told the oil pan should clear the brake lines without needing relocation.
