couple of pics of the Z
Some pics of the Z. My brother and I repainted it last summer, so these are from last summer with the old motor. It blew up so I rebuilt it better and stronger. Everything on it I have done. The only thing was my lil brother helping with the paint (he's real good). I am going to the track this friday (so I will post some times). I'm hoping to pick up a couple of tenths if not a half second from last year. It went 12.4x at 115. I was coasting across the line because I ran out of gear(4.10's and crappy torque converter). So this weekend I will have updated pics and times. I wanted to hear your thoughts. I just tinted it myself, and put a little somethin extra into the grill and lights. These will be on the updated pics this weekend. The process has been slow, being I'm 21 and in college, but I'm getting there.

Re: couple of pics of the Z
oh yeah, and almost forgot the most important part. I ran a 11.7@118 on friday night. But fun was cut short after one and only run. I had a terrible coolant leak when I went to get back in line for another run. At the time, I thought I blew the water pump. After getting home I saw that it was just a water pump gasket. I just rebuilt this motor, and when I did I put silicon on the gaskets to hold them in place. Well it did the opposite and pushed out.
But oh well, I will be back down this friday. I am way excited over the ET I did run tho. I wasn't expecting that. It was the most wild fun ride I ever been in.

I like the color, and overall stance of the ride. I would love to see drag lites, or something else on there for wheels.

Re: couple of pics of the Z
the grill is from a later year camaro. my car is an 83, but when i bought it, it was wrecked and gutted. so i went and found what i thought to be a better looking front end. the grill is the stock piece that comes with the front end. i added chrome strips on the lateral fins that stretch the length of the grill. i was just kinda bored and started playing with it.

I actually really like the wheels I have on it. The stock gray Z28 wheels I dont really care for. As much as I like the old school muscle car look of the outlaws, I would like to go for something else. But time and money are not on my side right now (PSU fall semester). I would like to see what those AR bandits in black w/polished lip would look like.

Loving that color!
on a sidenote, how much clearance do you have with that side exhaust? Looks mean
but back to topic, how long did that tint take you? looks perfect.

Re: couple of pics of the Z
Thanks. Honestly I have never had a problem with the pipes. Never scraped or hit. I prolly have 5 inches of clearance but thats just off the top of my head. The tint took awhile. The side windows are a cinch. The rear is another story. In itself was around 2 hours, but I wanted it perfect as I could get it. I prolly could of had it done in a hour, but would of been upset with the results and later ripped it off.
